Education
Education is an essential part of The Cincinnati Eye Institute Foundation’s mission. Our educational programs and services target the general public and eye care professionals.
The Cincinnati Eye Institute Foundation provides the local community with an array of resources that help educate and raise awareness about eye health and eye disease. The Dr. Richard S. Kerstine Vision Outreach Program delivers free educational lectures on a variety of eye conditions, such as cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. We provide these free lectures at senior centers, churches, and community organizations.
We advance the education of eye care professionals by funding additional medical resident positions in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine. We also support continuing education opportunities for the local optometric community.
