The CEI Foundation will expand its critically needed outreach with the first and only vision clinic of its kind in the state of Kentucky. Partnering with HealthPoint Family Care, CEIF’s fourth vision clinic is targeted to open at HealthPoint’s Covington location at 1401 Madison Avenue in May.

“HealthPoint is the perfect fit for our demographic,” said CEI Foundation CEO and President Amy Jones. HealthPoint is a Federally Qualified Health Center that provides medical, dental, mental health, substance abuse treatment, obstetrics and gynecology services to low income and uninsured patients. They serve 40,000 patients a year, over 12,000 of those in their Covington location.

"We are grateful and excited for our partnership with The CEI Foundation. This will greatly improve access to vision care in Northern Kentucky, " said HealthPoint Family Care CEO Sally Jordan.

Two of our extraordinary physician volunteers, Dr. Richard Kerstine and Dr. David Brounley will serve as the clinic’s onsite ophthalmologists. (Read more about Drs. Kerstine and Brounley in our Volunteer Heroes highlight below.)

The CEI Foundation Vision Clinic at HealthPoint Family Care will be open Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 - 4, with two lanes serving approximately 240 patients a month. Appointments are preferred and can be made by calling 859-655-6100, though walk-ins are also accepted.
