Research
To support research is to support the hope and promise that one day we will discover new cures and improved treatments for the most daunting eye diseases. The Cincinnati Eye Institute Foundation supports various areas of research in ophthalmology. Research grants are offered in the field of ophthalmology for noteworthy projects.
The CEIF Supports Research
We support research in a wide variety of ways and do our best to make progress for our patients and those in need.
The Next Generation of Eye Care Professionals
Communities across the country face a critical doctor shortage across many specialties, including ophthalmology. To help attract more ophthalmologists to our region, The Cincinnati Eye Institute Foundation helps fund additional resident positions in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine. The residents train with Cincinnati Eye Institute doctors. As the residents complete their program, many decide to stay and practice ophthalmology in the Cincinnati area.
